Why It Was Cancelled

  1. It was cancelled due to a lawsuit/legal action by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, regarding the Bond film rights.
  2. Shortly after a lawsuit, Sony made a Spider-Man movie on its own.

Result

  • The film was permanently cancelled due to a MGM lawsuit (mentioned earlier).
