The Road to El Dorado 2

The Road to El Dorado 2 was a planned sequel to the 2000 DreamWorks animated film The Road to El Dorado.

Plot

Miguel, Tulio, and Chel set off to a new adventure, rest of the plot is currently unknown.

Why It Was Cancelled

1. The first film bombed at the box office.
2. DreamWorks abandoned 2D traditional animation in favor of CGI animation following the box office failure of Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas in 2003.
3. Kevin Kline expressed no interest in returning as Tulio, as he was too busy working with other projects.

Result

• The film was cancelled permanently and the first film is a stand-alone film.
