Why It Was Cancelled

  1. The Mummy (2017) bombed at the box office.
  2. The Mummy (2017) was intended to be the first film of the Dark Universe series, but other Universal Monster movies planned for the Dark Universe have all been scrapped.
  3. The Mummy (2017) does not take place in Egypt like the previous film series.
