Following the release of Sergio Leone's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, there were plans for a follow-up film. It would have been the fourth installment in the Fistful of Dollars franchise.

Why It Was Cancelled
- Initial reaction to A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More and the last one were negative, due to its violent nature of each film compared to American Westerns at the time.
- Sergio Leone didn't want to do a fourth film, and would go on to direct Once Upon A Time In The West.
