In an interview on Larry King Live, on March 10, 2010, the day of Corey Haim's death, Corey Feldman revealed that he and Haim were developing two sequels to the 1988 teen comedy film License to Drive, which starred both Feldman and Haim. The first sequel being titled License to Fly and the second one being titled License to Dive. However, those plans were quickly scrapped after Corey Haim's death.

Plot

The plots to both films are currently unknown.

Why They Were Cancelled

  1. Corey Haim died of pneumonia on March 10, 2010 (mentioned earlier).
  2. License to Drive wasn't well-received by critics, although it did well at the box office.

Results

  • License to Drive is currently a stand-alone film since both sequels to the film were ultimately abandoned after Corey Haim's death.
  • A female-led reboot of License to Drive is currently being developed, with John Davis (who co-produced the original film) returning to produce the film.
