Bobby's Girl is an unfinished animated film produced by Ralph Bakshi and John Kricfalusi. The film was supposed to be a parody of popular 80's teen films like 16 Candles and The Breakfast Club.

Why It Was Cancelled

  1. Jeff Sagansky, the president of TriStar Pictures at the time, didn't accept Bakshi's offer of $150,000 for the film's production.
  2. The new executives at TriStar didn't like the premise and ended up cutting off Bakshi's finances.

Results

  1. Bobby's Girl was reworked into a primetime series called Suzy's in Love.
  2. The film was permanently cancelled and production was never complete.
