Bob The Builder (adaptation)

In 2012, there were announcements that a Bob the Builder film was headed for the big screen. However, the news about the film disappeared and has not been mentioned since then. Dwayne Johnnson was to star as the title character.[1]

Plot

The plot was to take place during World War II like The Adventures of Thomas and the machines were to be CGI and look different from the TV counterparts.

Why It Was Cancelled

  1. While the cancellation reasons are unknown, Mattel may have shut down the project after they bought HiT Entertainment.

Cast

  • Dwayne Johnson as Bob the Builder

Result

  • The film was permanently cancelled.
  • The only piece of evidence that exists is a trailer for the unmade film.[2]
