All the Money in the World is a 2017 drama film. The film was directed by Ridley Scott and stars Michelle Williams, The late great Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer and Mark Wahlberg. Kevin Spacey was originally going to star in the cast as J. Paul Getty.

Plot

The film is based on the true story of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III.

Why It Was Cancelled

  1. The scenes with Kevin Spacey as J. Paul Getty were reshot with The late great Christopher Plummer after he was accused of sexual misconduct.

Results

  • The film was permanently and completely reshot with Christopher Plummer taking over Kevin Spacey's role.
  • After Christopher Plummer took over the role that was originally played by Kevin Spacey earned an Academy Award and BAFTA and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as J. Paul Getty.
