Adventure Academy (Universal)

In 2013, Universal Animation Studios began production on Adventure Academy.

Plot

The film was based on a story by Geo G. while he was still working on Gabriel Garza 2 and Imagimals respectively, the film was supposed to focus on a girl who signed up to the Adventure Academy in order to train in order to be a successful adventurer.

Why It Was Cancelled

1. Universal decided not to continue with the project due to "creative differences" with Geo.

Result

• In 2017, the film was revived by Gingo Animation and Sony Pictures Animation, now as an Emoji Movie spin-off titled Addie featuring Addie McCallister from The Emoji Movie as the main protagonist with Geo as the director and former Universal animators Jim Anderson and Henri Dosclz as producers. The film was scheduled for a release on March 1, 2019.
