8ight was a planned sequel film to David Fincher's Se7en from 1995. The script was written by Ted Griffin and Sean Bailey.

Plot

The sequel was to be about the FBI having a psychic tracking down a serial killer.

Why It Was Cancelled

  1. David Fincher turned down directing the sequel because he hated the idea.
  2. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman were not interested in reprising their roles.

Result

  • The movie and its idea was later turned into the 2016 direct-to-video film Solace with Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Abbie Cornish.
  • Se7en is a stand-alone film.
